Kellogg MBA Cost Trends: 2022-23 VS 2023-24 VS 2024-25

The Kellogg MBA program tuition costs rose from $76,368 in 2022-23 to $81,015 in 2023-24, and then to $83,610 in 2024-25, representing an increase of 6.08% from 2022-23 to 2023-24, and 3.20% from 2023-24 to 2024-25, signifying a slight decline in the rate of increase of tuition fee. 

The average increase per year was 4.5% when you consider the 3-year timeframe.

Tuition Fee (Inflation): Low

Room and board expenses increased from $17,100 in 2022-23 to $19,800 in 2023-24, and further to $21,150 in 2024-25 - a 15.79% increase from 2022-23 to 2023-24, and 6.82% from 2023-24 to 2024-25.

Housing (Inflation): Moderate

Books and supplies costs remained constant at $1,647 for the first two years, then rose significantly by 24.58% to $2,052 in 2024-25.

Travel expenses stayed at $1,329 for the first two years before increasing by 16.48% to $1,548 in 2024-25.

Personal expenses remained steady at $3,150 for the first two years but decreased by 14.29% to $2,700 in 2024-25. 

Personal Expenses (Inflation): Low (Deflation)

Health insurance costs saw a considerable rise from $4,386 in 2022-23 to $5,144 in 2023-24, and then to $5,571 in 2024-25, reflecting increases of 17.29% and 8.31% respectively.

Health Insurance (Inflation): Moderate

The cost of computer equipment remained constant at $1,200 across all three years. The student activity and experience fee also remained unchanged at $1,400. The student association fee increased from $330 in 2022-23 to $390 in 2023-24 and remained at that level for 2024-25, showing an 18.18% increase in the first year.

The first-year fee remained steady at $2,000 for all three years. Loan fees decreased from $2,748 in 2022-23 to $2,559 in 2023-24, a decrease of 6.88%, but then increased by 7.15% to $2,742 in 2024-25.

Loan Fees (Inflation): Low

The overall estimated expenses increased from $111,658 in 2022-23 to $120,432 in 2023-24 and then to $125,191 in 2024-25, reflecting increases of 7.85% and 3.95%, respectively. 

Total Expenses (Inflation): Low to Moderate

Note: Among all the expenses, books and supplies experienced the highest percentage increase over the three years.
